Hartzell Air Movement is pleased to announce that Airetech Corporation is now their new manufacture’s sales rep office in Oklahoma. Airetech Corporation has been in business since 1985. The sales rep office currently sells products into commercial and industrial markets. Their knowledge in selling dampers and louvers will help create an easy transition into selling Hartzell industrial fans. Principal of Airetech Corporation, Chad Smith states, “We are excited about the addition of Hartzell to our product line because it allows us to provide a complete solution to our customers in the heavy commercial and industrial markets.”

Hartzell Air Movement is pleased to release their new water and wastewater bulletin. The bulletin includes all Hartzell fiberglass fans, accessories, weights, dimensions, and helpful charts and guides to assist in proper fan selection. The new bulletin also includes information on the new larger sizes (up to 73”) available in the Hartzell Series 41 fiberglass backward curved airfoil centrifugal fan.

System Effects – Are They Real, or Just the Fan Manufacturer’s Excuse?
 
Almost every week, we get a call from a customer saying that their fan doesn’t perform to the catalog rating. Once we have the customer do normal trouble-shooting – confirm the fan speed, confirm the fan rotation, confirm that all system dampers and devices are set at their correct locations, etc., we then try to get some system information. This includes the flow and pressure readings they took, along with any assumptions and non-standard operating conditions. These readings are then plotted on the fan curve in an attempt to determine what may be causing the fan performance variation.

Hartzell Air Movement is pleased to announce that their main manufacturing plant in Piqua, Ohio is now certified to produce and export wood packaging material under the guidelines of ISPM-15. A company with an International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 (ISPM-15) certification is important because it ensures that wood used in their packaging and pallets has been properly treated and fumigated in order to prevent the spread of insects and diseases that could harm other countries’ ecosystems.

Hartzell Air Movement has just launched their new fan selection software called “Hartzell-FLOW®.” The new software allows engineers and customers to make their own fan selections, generate fan curves, and also view and download 2D drawings and 3D fan models. The program contains information on thousands of different industrial fans for a variety of markets including water and wastewater, marine, power generation, and heavy industry.
