Basic Function: Performs fabrication functions to take flat sheet goods and structural material to a finished part or product using established procedures. |

Qualifications and Required Skills: Physical and Visual Activities: (Physical and visual activities that are commonly associated** with the performance of the functions of this job.) Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing.
Visual - acuity, far, near, depth perception, field of vision, accommodation, color vision.
Physical Demands (Physical demands commonly associated** with the performance of the functions of this job.): Frequently (over 70% of work day) lifting 1 - 60 lbs. of material, usually from floor to waist level. Stands 8 - 10 hours per day.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions (Environmental/atmospheric conditions commonly associated** with the performance of the functions of this job.): Inside conditions, extremes of heat, humidity, noise, vibration, hazards, fumes, odors, dust.
Knowledge: High school education, blue print reading, basic math, reading and writing skills, knowledge in reading protractor, rule, square, basic fabrication skills. CNC equipment skills helpful but not mandatory.
Experience: 3 months to 12 months to learn and perform the functions of the job at a good level of proficiency.
Machines, Tools, Equipment (Office and Industrial), Software: Shears, roll-forming machine, press brake, turret, single head punch press, grinder, deburrer, band saw, abrasive cut-off saw, ring rolls, iron worker, nibbler, protractor, measuring tape, square, plasma torch, laser torch, hydraulic press and computer system.
Licenses/Certifications: Forklift Operator's License |
